Hot Lunch Program

The Orlando Lutheran Academy is happy to announce that Chef Scott’s Creative Catering Inc. has been contracted to prepare and serve the hot lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the 2009-2010 school year.

Chef Scott, born and raised on a dairy farm in Upstate New York is a third generation Executive Chef with thirty-five years of culinary experience. Chef Scott completed a two-year vocational program and a three-year American Culinary Federation apprenticeship. Chef Scott has worked for major hotels and resorts including Saddlebrook, The Villas of Grand Cypress and Church Street Station.

In recent years Chef Scott has focused on what he sees as a growing problem, the nutritional health of the children in this country. Chef Scott has developed a program aimed at this nations youth that encompasses fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh meats, no deep fat frying, reduced fat content, limited refined sugar and reduced sodium in each weeks menu offerings.

Chef Scott has expressed his willingness to work with any parent or guardian that has an OLA student with specific allergies or other food requirements.

We look forward to a year of “Triple E’s” (Enjoyable Eating Experiences) for our students and faculty alike.

We will continue to offer Papa John's pizza on Monday and Chick-Fil-A on Friday.
